Share Warmth: UMR's Winter Relief for Families in Need
Winter brings warmth and joy to many, but for countless families in Jordan, Lebanon, Yemen, Morocco, and Pakistan, it’s a season of hardship and struggle.
The biting cold, harsh weather, and limited resources make life unbearable. UMR is stepping up to make a difference. Together, we can bring warmth and hope to those who need it most.
Country Focus
Morocco: In the aftermath of a devastating earthquake, over 2,900 lives were lost, leaving more than 300,000 people directly affected. Entire communities have been left homeless, and the need for support is urgent. UMR is providing essential items like hygiene kits, kitchen sets, blankets, mattresses, and crucial medical supplies. We’re also committed to long-term medical support for those recovering from this tragedy.
Jordan (Syrian Refugees): In 2022, UMR successfully distributed essential winter supplies to 2500 individuals in Northern and Southern Jordan. We extended our support by distributing food parcels to 3,870 individuals across various locations. Over 14,250 meals were provided to orphaned children, and clothing gifts were given to 119 households through shopping vouchers. With your help, we aim to do even more this winter.
Lebanon (Syrian Refugees): Lebanon is grappling with its most severe socioeconomic crisis in decades, compounded by the fact that it currently shelters the highest per capita number of refugees globally. Official figures indicate a population of 1.5 million Syrian refugees alongside 13,715 refugees from various other nations. Shockingly, 90% of the Syrian refugee population resides in conditions of abject poverty.
Yemen: Yemen faces a humanitarian crisis of unprecedented proportions. A staggering 21.6 million people require some form of assistance in 2023. Access to food, safe drinking water, and health services is a daily struggle for 80% of the population. Shockingly, over 1.5 million pregnant and breastfeeding women are projected to face acute malnutrition this year. Your support will provide lifesaving aid to those most in need.
Pakistan: One year after unprecedented floods ravaged Pakistan, millions of children still need humanitarian assistance. Vital infrastructure, including schools and health facilities, were severely damaged, leaving children more vulnerable than ever. The floods submerged one-third of the country, affecting 33 million people, half of whom were children. UMR is committed to restoring hope and providing essential services to those affected.

UMR is providing heaters, plastic sheets/tarpaulin, tent thermal insulation, thermal blankets, and distributing winter clothes for adults, elderly, and children in Pakistan, Yemen, Morocco, Lebanon & Jordan (Syrian refugees.)
