Jordan (Syrian Refugees) Emergency Appeal
The protracted Syrian conflict has had a devastating impact on Syria and has left more than nine million people in need of urgent aid. In many parts of the country water supplies have been cut, food is in short supply and the health system has collapsed.
Labeled the worst humanitarian disaster since World War II, 1.2 million houses have been damaged, 6.5 million people have been displaced inside Syria, and a further 2.5 million people have now fled to the neighboring countries of Jordan, Lebanon, and Turkey.
UMR continues to work with Syrian refugees in Turkey, Lebanon, and Jordan providing food, shelter, and medical aid.
