As the conflict in Syria enters its fifth year, a political solution is still to be found. Over 200,000 people have been killed and over one million injured. More than half of all Syrians have been forced to leave their homes, often multiple times, making Syria the largest displacement crisis globally. At present, all indicators suggest that in 2015, displacement as well as the humanitarian and protection needs of civilians will continue to grow. According to the UNHCR, over 3 million have fled to Syria’s immediate neighbors Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq.
