As part of the Better Together Coalition, we developed and facilitated Art Day, Art based therapy, for school age children who survived the California Wildfires. Children were filled with joy as they were able to put their worries aside and work on their masterpieces! This program was run in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club and Paradise Elementary School in Oroville, CA

This past week, UMR’s Emergency Coordinator deployed to Chico, California to assist with the California wildfires. Over 20 UMR volunteers participated in assembling 100 hygiene kits and food baskets for survivors, including senior citizens. We thank everyone who assisted us in this important mission, and will continue to share updates with you as our work continues.
