Emergency AID for Gaza

Emergency AID for Gaza

In partnership with local organizations, UMR is actively addressing this need by delivering vital pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to 12 primary healthcare centers (PHCs) and medical points across the Middle and South Governorates of the Gaza Strip.

UMR’s Gaza relief initiative, in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, seeks to continue providing critical medical services, supplies, and pharmaceuticals, bolstering the capacity of these 12 healthcare facilities.

The project aims to mitigate shortages of essential medications such as antibiotics, painkillers, chronic disease treatments, vaccines, and mental health medications—urgently needed to address conditions worsened by the ongoing conflict.

Additionally, UMR will sustain food aid distribution by locally mobilizing essential food supplies and will continue water trucking services to ensure access to clean drinking water for affected families.

By maintaining consistent healthcare access—particularly for women, children, the elderly, and those with chronic illnesses—this project strives to alleviate suffering and improve overall health outcomes in the conflict-impacted regions.

The project will directly benefit around 1.6 million individuals, including internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities in the Middle and South Governorates of Gaza. Priority will be given to vulnerable groups such as children, women, the elderly, and individuals with chronic illnesses.

UMR is part of a wide coalition delivering emergency aid to Gaza. Our accomplishments so far include:

  • Healthcare: We provided medical supplies to 3 major hospitals, helping over 25,000 patients.

  • Food Assistance: We delivered hot meals and food baskets to more than 10,000 people who were displaced and struggling with hunger.

  • Job Creation: We gave 31 young people from displaced communities jobs, helping them earn money during tough times.

  • Winter Support: We distributed winter items to 2,000 vulnerable families, ensuring they stayed safe and warm.

  • Partnerships: We teamed up with local and international organizations to make sure aid reached those who needed it most.

  • Essential Services: Despite the conflict, we kept key healthcare and nutrition services running.

  • Water Access: We provided regular water deliveries to 300 households in southern Gaza.
