Qurbani

“The Prophet ﷺ stayed in Madinah for ten years, offering the Qurbani sacrifice each year.”
— Narrated by Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (RA), Ahmad & Tirmidhi
“And for every nation We have appointed a rite of sacrifice so that they may mention the name of Allah over what He has provided for them...”
— Surah Al-Hajj 22:34
When Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) shared his dream with his son Ismail (A.S), the young boy responded with full faith: “Do as you are commanded.” Their unwavering trust in Allah became a timeless lesson in submission and devotion. In response, Allah replaced Ismail (A.S) with a sheep—a symbol of divine mercy.
Qurbani is more than a ritual.
It is an act of worship, a revival of the Sunnah, and a chance to extend mercy to those in need.
This year, UMR (United Mission for Relief & Development) is continuing this sacred tradition by delivering Qurbani meat to the most vulnerable communities across Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, Somalia, and more. Your sacrifice, through UMR, feeds displaced families, malnourished children, and people facing crisis and hunger.
