Qurbani

Qurbani (or Udhiyah) represents a profound lesson in obedience and devotion for Muslims, serving as both an act of faith and a means of extending compassion to those in need. Through this act of sacrifice, participants not only ensure that hungry families receive essential protein and nutrients, but also bring vulnerable families into the spirit of celebration, sharing in the joy and togetherness of the occasion.

Qurbani plays a vital role in UMR's sustainable food program, which is designed to uplift communities by providing a wide range of food assistance. This initiative supports long-term food security by addressing both immediate hunger and the broader need for sustainable, nutritious food sources. Through Qurbani, UMR is able to provide quality meat to underserved communities, helping to nourish families while fostering a sense of solidarity and support during a time of reflection and celebration.

In addition to its role in food distribution, Qurbani also emphasizes the importance of social responsibility, encouraging Muslims to share with others in a meaningful and impactful way. By participating, individuals contribute to a broader effort to alleviate hunger, promote community welfare, and ensure that vulnerable populations are not forgotten during the festive season.
