13 Oct 3 Secrets for Mastering the Art of Donations

Is making donations actually an art? Here at UMR, we believe that it is. We’ve written in the past about how to choose where you donate and we believe that choosing a charity to work with is just the first step in the process. In today’s blog, we’ll provide you with a couple of tips on how to master the art of making donations.

3 Tips For Making Donations

  • 7822-6First and foremost, do your research into the charity you’re considering making donations to. One of the best ways to do this is by searching the internet to see what others are saying. If you’ve found one that looks good, ask yourself this simple questions: “Does this charity inspire me?” If it does, proceed to step two.
  • The next step is deciding how much to donate. Would you like to make donations on a monthly basis? Once a year? When you have an excess amount of money in your bank account? Figure this out now and then proceed to step three.
  • Finally, set reminders for yourself. If your bank can send automatic payments, set that up. Perhaps you’d like to send donations yourself every month. Set a recurring reminder on your smartphone so you don’t forget. Maybe a paper calendar is more your style; if that’s the case, write down a reminder for yourself each month.

Regardless of how you choose to remind yourself, we’re thankful that you’re considering making donations and we’d love if you’d partner with us. Would you consider making a donation to UMR today?
